Current Projects
Sault Area Hospital...Flushing Commons...Goldman-Sachs
Steel Speed are fabricating structural and miscellaneous steel components for the new hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. We are also erecting much of the miscellaneous steel for this project. The new hospital will have 289 beds and a state of the art radiation treatment facility, which will serve over 100,000 residents in Sault Ste. Marie and the surrounding Algoma District.

Flushing Commons Town Centre Redevelopment
We are fabricating heavy structural steel for the new town centre, currently being contructed in Flushing, New York, USA. This is a $500 million project that includes parking for 2000 cars, a one acre green space, a 50,000 square foot recreational centre (including a swimming pool, basketball courts and excercise room), a business class hotel, 500 residential units and finally a 350,000 square foot retail space. Our role in this is to fabricate custom designed heavy structural steel components for the buildings as illustrated below.

Goldman-Sachs World Headquarters
Steel Speed fabricated structural steel for the new Goldman-Sachs world headquarters that was built close to their old offices in the World Trade Center in Manhattan, New York. It is a 44 storey building that stretches to 228 metres (749 feet) high. The finished building will have approximately 1.5 million square feet and will house 9000 employees. The planned date for completion of the project is 2009.
